Our services

We supply business continuity and consultancy services to small and medium sized businesses, charitable trusts etc., primarily in the South Wales area.

We are able to:

  • help you to understand the key components of your business: processes, people, suppliers, data, etc.
  • help you understand the threats to your business if those components become unavailable through major incident or other reason
  • assist in making decisions to accept, avoid or mitigate risks, or plan recovery strategies
  • assist in developing and testing mitigation and/or recovery plans
  • assist in identifying/sourcing permanent or on demand services to avoid risks and support recovery strategies
  • assist in managing recovery activity from major incidents
  • assist in maintaining the currency of your plans as business circumstances change (support and review annually or when a major/significant change takes place).

Our emphasis is on a practical approach in support – you, after all, know your business best. A good business continuity plan will give you the flexibility to respond and recover from any incident (often the one that does occur will not be the one perceived to have the highest risk). Ideally it should become part of the daily fabric of your business.

On a typical assignment we might:

  • Review your business, and the threats it faces, in discussion with you and other key personnel
  • We will need to gain an understanding of the important elements of your business, primarily by interview, but we will use questionnaires and/or workshops in appropriate circumstances. We wish to minimise use of your company’s time commensurate with getting a good grasp of the way it operates
  • The result will be formally documented for you in a Business Impact and Risk Analysis, in particular identifying where are you vulnerable, to what extent, and the probability of material events occurring
  • Assist you to make decisions, set recovery time objectives and develop mitigation and planning strategies
  • Help the development of mitigation and recovery plans – a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and, if required, an Incident Management Plan (IMP)
  • Provide for an on-going review of plans and strategies, as required, to ensure that they remain valid as business circumstances change
  • We might also get involved with the implementation of mitigation strategies, training your staff and testing plans, if required.

Call us for more information and pricing examples. It will not be as expensive as you might think.

We work to the British Standards Institute’s standard for Business Continuity Management, BS25999.
